Role Description

Role Title: Field Service Engineer
Report to: Projects Director
Based at: Premier Autoclaves customer sites predominantly throughout the UK.
Package: £45,000 OTE including profit share and overtime. (company vehicle, training, pension contribution, laptop, phone, company socials…)

We pride ourselves on being the industry leaders for providing autoclave Servicing, Instrument Calibration, Breakdown Response, Systems Upgrades, as well as New and Refurbished autoclaves. If you’re now googling autoclaves, don’t be fooled- we don’t deal with small sterilisers, these are big industrial machines generally used for composite production. Our customers cover various sectors including Formula 1, aerospace, defence, and motorsport- all exciting places to be.

The main purpose of the job:

To perform servicing & calibration, system upgrades, fault finding and breakdown repair plus installation of new autoclave and associated systems as required. We’re a key arm of support to our customers. For example, our engineers can be the key to ensuring an F1 car has a spare front wing for race weekend!

The main activities of the job:

  • On site planned maintenance and calibration of autoclaves and ovens- throughout the UK
  • Assisting with onsite upgrades and installations
  • Attending breakdown visits
  • Producing detailed reports of works
  • Liaising with customer to manage expectations
  • Liaising with Project manager and office staff to ensure correct delivery of work
  • Assist with on site activities including surveying for upgrade works and improvements to be made in systems
  • Identifying opportunities for further work during site visits
  • Working with the wider team to create ideas for methods to complete works
  • Assist in workshop with mechanical and electrical assemblies

Wants:

  • A foundation of electrical/mechanical knowledge
  • Experience in pneumatics/vacuum/hydraulics- desirable
  • Experience in control systems/electrical diagnostics- desirable
  • A desire to do a great job and work within a dedicated team
